Introduction to Dressmaking or Garment Making

This one day course is for anyone with a basic understanding of using a sewing machine who would like to know how to use a commercial pattern to make up aa garment, such as a skirt or dress.

Want to get to grips with using a pattern?

This one day course will help un-ravel the mystery of using commercial patterns and guide you in how to make them up into a garment.

Learn how to read a commercial pattern and understand the jargon, select size and style, lay, mark and pin pattern to fabric and cut out, transfering markings.

This course can be used as a pre-step towards the 'Sewing Project' part-time evening course or 'Extended Sewing Skills' course for garment making.
