Are you a Zip-a-phobic? We’ll show you how to take the challenge out of sewing zips by sharing simple tricks and tips that will give you the confidence to tackle zips head on!
We’ll take you through different types of zips and the correct one to buy for specific projects. Then learn the practical sewing skills needed to sew a regular zip and invisible zip – all used in making up clothes, cushions and bags.

As this is not a beginner’s workshop, you must already have some experience on a sewing machine or have attended one of our Beginner sewing workshops.

What to bring for Master Zips and Buttonholes
All materials and equipment are supplied for this workshop and are included in the price.
Our sponsors, Janome, supply computerised sewing machines (CLX301) and where required overlockers (6234XL). Unfortunately, it is not possible to bring in your own machines. You are, however, welcome to bring your manual, to help you apply the skills you learn to your own machine when you get home.
Refreshments will be served at the workshop and there will be approximately 30 minute breaks between the 3 sessions so please bring along some lunch.
